Life 100 years ago

Reading through William Malone's diary entries made me think more about what was happening 100 years ago, as we approach the centenary of the start of WW1 and (next year) the centenary of the first landings at Gallipoli.

In fact you can easily read about what was happening back then on the Life 100 years ago page (part of New Zealand WW100), a collaborative web and Twitter project which presents "Daily quotes from diaries, letters, newspapers... shared in 'real-time' exactly 100 years later." You can follow the daily updates or even join in by contributing from online sources or from your own family or other historical collection of letters, postcards or diaries.
